In her words:
I have worked for the Albany Unified School District since 1982, and returned to teaching in 1990 first at Albany Middle School and then at Albany High. I have lived in Albany since 1977. I moved here for Albany’s small town character and its excellent schools.
I support sustainable commercial development to ensure adequate revenue for our city and schools. I want to see the continuation of the East Shore State Park and public open space for all on our waterfront. I opposed the Magna/Caruso mall for the Albany Shoreline. I oppose a large-scale development that would threaten Solano Avenue businesses and Albany’s small town character.
I have served the Albany Teachers Association as Secretary, Treasurer and am currently Vice President. I have been president of the Site Council at Albany High School and worked on the Measure A campaigns to raise funds for Albany Schools. I serve on the City of Albany Waterfront Committee. I have worked hard teaching Albany students and pledge to bring my skills as an educator to make our City Council work for you.
