What is your position on St Mary's High School and its regulated use or disuse of it's facilities? I am an Albany resident and would like to know.

PS: Your website is very confusing. If you do respond to this, I don't know where to look, and I don't want to spend a lot of time figuring it out.

What I want to see is city council leadership in fixing the street sweeping boondoggle. Apparently some Albany residents complained about the city's original plan to install signs with information about when streets are swept (and presumably consequences if you park your car in the wrong place on street sweeping days). So no signs have been installed at all, despite months of taxpayer-financed street sweeping. Those of us who live on streets that are heavily parked up during the day (any side streets in the block off Solano Avenue, for starters) are told, "Get a sign from the city and post it yourself." That's ridiculous! Someone needs to be an adult and get those signs installed! I'm tired of not being able to get the leaves and garbage swept out from my curb, and seeing my tax money wasted because no one pays any attention to street sweeping rules. If you promise to fix this problem and show concrete steps taken to do so, you'll have my vote!

Caruso is a piece of work. Ruthless and relentless. If we don't elect Marge and Joanne, then he will come back, for sure. Right now some members of the Albany City Council are doing the things that Caruso requires: commit to an EIR and elect at least one pro-mall candidate to keep the council pro-mall. We need to elect both Marge and Joanne.

I am not sure where the city sponsored waterfront planning process will lead, but one thing is for sure, we need to elect Marge and Joanne to the City Council to put a stop to any more playing footsie with Caruso, the developer. What's the rush to choose the consultant except maybe for the pro-mall majority to lock in one that will come up with a big development project and open the door for Caruso to come back. Unless this thing is slowed down, seems that the city council may be sending a signal to Caruso that they are conceding to his requirement that the EIR not be rejected at some point, but seen through to the final conclusion or acceptance, whichever comes first.
